SW Tour Ride 2010

This Saturday sees the start of my stint as host and commentator for the Uk's biggest Cycle race and the countries largest free to watch annual sporting event. One of the highlights of my Tour of Britain work is getting the opportunity to host the Prostate Cancer Tour Rides where members of the public challenge themselves for charity riding a full T.O.B stage and Sunday’s Teignmouth ride saw over 1500 people riding from Honiton or Minehead. Hearing amazing stories and seeing smiling faces even when people are feeling the strain is humbling, especially to think that this stage is likely to be one the toughest in the whole tour. It was an 11 hour solid stint of commentating but when you think of what other people put themselves through, it makes me proud to be part of it all and the support from the crowds was awesome. If this is anything to go by, then Tuesday’s stage 4 is going to be fantastic, see you there.
